Many scholars are fascinated with the American millennial generation and what trends arise as this group enters adulthood. Hillel and leading polling firm Penn  Schoen Berland have been at the forefront of studying the millennial Jewish generation as they progress through university and beyond. During his tenure with Hillel and his seven years as President and CEO, Wayne Firestone has become an expert on the trends emerging with Jewish students across the country. He will take you through what he has learned, examining some common misconceptions and ultimately giving you a glimpse of the impact this generation will have on the Jewish future.

About Wayne Firestone

Wayne L. Firestone is the President and CEO of Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, the largest Jewish student organization in the world with over 500 local campus affiliates around the world.  He has held leadership positions in Jewish communal affairs dating to his days as a Soviet Jewry activist at University of Miami Hillel and the Georgetown University Law Center. Wayne lived and studied in Israel for almost nine years, serving as director of the Israel Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League; lecturing at Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology; and founding Siliconwadinet Ltd. In 2002, he was appointed executive director of the Israel on Campus Coalition, and Executive Vice President of U.S. Operations in September 2005.  He also currently sits on the Board of the National Association of Urban Debate Leagues and serves on the Advisory Board of Repair the World and serves as an MLK Jr. Ambassador of Service for the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Wayne lives in Rockville, MD with his wife Stephanie and three daughters.
